Frolicking in the Woods

A while back, I was looking at the blog Color Me Katie and one of her posts described leaving little trinkets around town for people to find as a surprise. I decided to do the same, but with inspirational messages instead! Me and my friend Joellen got together in late May and made dozens of fortune cookies, fans and cootie catchers (or fortune tellers, if that's what you call them) containing nice messages and quotes encouraging people to persevere and to be happy! Here are some photos from that fateful day! :)

Hard at work making the things!
Some of our supplies. Stickers! And lots of them.
Coming at your face!
This guy is legit; he lived in the woods and wrote a book about it!
Great words to live by.
Cool paper makes anything look cool.
A cootie catcher dedicated to the late and great Albus Dumbledore.
The fruit of our labor.
We used a canvas bag to hold our creations!
Fortune cookie in the nook of a tree.
A fan inside a commemorative bench. Rest in peace Steven.
Cootie catcher on wooden support beams!
It rained that day.
Fortune cookie in a tree!
Fortune cookie inside a tire swing!
Cootie catcher in a gazebo!
